Actually Jimmy, on reflection, Your Siliqua is even better than l first thought, Almost all that l have seen before have been "clipped" some quite badly. yours seems to be un clipped. which is very rare!!

I don't think 'very rare' is the right expression here, it might be very rare to find one, but the coin is not classified as very rare & nor is it always heavily clipped. I only have 3 Julian but none are heavily clipped, its the Valens & Honorius that seem to get the most attention. :icon_thumright:

It is however in very good nick & will probably take some years to better :headbang:

ANCIENT COINS. ROMAN. Constantius II (AD 337-361), Silver Reduced Siliqua, Lugdunum, AD 360-263, D N CONSTANTIVS P F AVG , pearl-diademed, draped and cuirassed bust right, rev VOTIS / XXX / MVLTIS / XXXX within wreath, [ LVG ] in exergue, 1.82g (R...

About 3/4 of the way down the page sits your coin, I think yours is in better condition :icon_thumright:
:laughing9:

Nearly right...it is Julian Siliqua AD 360 - 363 as said above...Obverse Legend: FL CL IVLIANVS P P AVG. Reverse legend.VOTIS V MVLTIS X; LVG in exergue and the Mint is indeed Lugdunum (Lyons) :icon_thumleft:

Nice coin Jimmy :icon_thumleft:

SS

Spot-on SS, just add RIC VIII 218 or 219 like Sears(88) 4071.

Nice coin Jimmy,CONGRATS, we are having a Roman Silver issue right now, ie. can't get one :laughing9:
