off to a great start. My first was a nail :P The best things are yet to be discovered or plundered by a pirate like yourself.

You know, sometimes it's just the simple things that count.

All I found today was a button and it wasn't even made of metal.

I've had my Ace 250 for about a month and I love it! I'm finding pennies galore (along with nickles, dimes and quarters) a lot of pull tops, bottle caps, tent pegs, etc. I've never had a hobby in my life besides sleeping and eating that I wanted to do on a daily basis besides this. And anyone could ask my wife to verify I tend to "buy up on me some hobbies" and drop them in a couple of weeks out of boredom. This one is different, it's really got me!
Have fun with your Ace and HH!

This find is better than any silver or gold because it is your first. In fact this is going on the best finds forum because it is so important. If there is one find you will remember it is this one. Congrats!

Great start. Early success will spoil you! :'( I found a pocket full of clad quarters at the ball park the first time I went out. Next time I found a clad penny and a 20" gold chain! That gold chain gets longer every time I post about it! It's been downhill ever since! ;) Actually there's not any really great places to hunt around here and I've been fairly lucky and really enjoy the hunt as I know you will. Congratulations! Monty

I was gonna say it's important cause it had a S. ;D Don't find many around here. Welcome to the hobby. Give it some good effort, learn your machine, and you'll be amazed at all the loot you'll start to accumulate. Good luck and Happy hunting!

Congrats on the first of many, many great finds with your new Ace 250, PhotoTJ.

Listen to your 250, read and re-read the manual, and ask questions; the only dumb question is one not asked. And don't be in any hurry to upgrade your 250; it's the best mid priced detector on the market, IMO ;)
