I finally got out to a local state park that I've been wanting to hunt for a while. I had to stop in the park office to get a permit to metal detect. While I was filling out the paper work one of the secretaries said I should be able to find some arrowheads with my metal detector. I just said maybe if I am lucky. It turns out I did have a bit of luck, I found a sterling St. Michaels medal and another piece of sterling jewelry all though I am not sure what it is it's marked 925 and ale. And I found a 10kt gold ring its marked 417 , plus 5.14 in clad. No arrowheads though...........

Mystery sterling is a Pandora bead, I found one very similar, they can be quite pricey

State Parks are off limits in Ohio also. Only can detect on the sand beach up to the grass line. I tied to get OK under the swings and play area but no go.
