Found a nice little cross pendent tonight

My 11 year old Son , Carson , and I got out for about an hour tonight and hunted a local school that has given up a lot of jewelery . We were hunting about 15 minutes when I got a +12 VDI on my M6 and out popped this little cross . It's just costume jewelery but nice . It has amber stones and one small stone in the middle . Carson found a couple of soccer pins and $1.54 in clad . I came away with $4.76 in clad . It was a great hunt !

Unless it was lost last week, looks to be sterling, also. Can you shoot somewhat of a side shot of the stones? May be able to tell you a little more if I can see that. Still like the cut.

It's not silver that's for sure . It is plated and was about two inches deep . It must be a better type of costume jewelery .

The stones are really nice, I hope they are real. There may be a dozen different names for the cut, but I would call it an opposed bar cut with a checkerboard top. I really love how the cutting marches up and over the arched top of the stone. The similar stones I have purchased in the past didn't have the checkerboard on the surface, just the bars of the "opposed bar". I would purchase a bunch of these stones, assuming the price was right. I always try to buy opposed bar cuts when I find them. Nice stones. Could be topaz, but especially since you don't think the setting is sterling, probably citrine. Topaz with this kind of cutting would be somewhat pricey. This one is a keeper!
