I went out detecting yesterday but only managed half an hour before the heavens opened, I did manage an "Armada" token and what the UKDFD think might be a suspension mount. Anyway, I managed to get out today for 2 hours and did a lot better and I'm planning to go back there tomorrow

The first two pics are of the Armada token

2.jpg

The next pic is of the possible suspension mount.

3.jpg

The next three pics are of a complete Annular Brooch circa 13th 14th century

4.jpg

5.jpg

6.jpg

Next pic are the buckles and the brooch

7.jpg

Some of todays buttons

8.jpg

Some of the other bits

9.jpg

The last pic is of a live round that came out of the ground today, it has W.R.A. Co .45 AC stamped on the bottom

Thanks for looking and HH

I'm a professional, I don't dink anything :tongue3:. Seriously though, that's some of the gilt still left on it, at least it means there might be a pendant in the field :laughing7:

Sorry my friend, I didn't choose the find, it found me, but, as you implie, history (meaning written record) doesn't lie :icon_pirat:

Just kidding :D .. there are things in our past that I not like :-\ , and to command the Armada to invade England in 1588 is one of them.
In the maritime museum in my town we have a replica of a ship of the time. :o

It is a Buckle :read2: the Brooches were recesed(see below) were the pin came out the Frame, the tongue on the one posted(buckle) clearly shows the tongue around the main frame :icon_thumleft:

Oh yeah, didn't realise the only difference between a Ring Buckle & an Annular Brooch was a tiny recess :icon_thumright: Good info thanks
