{found in cantonville north carolina) me and my uncle spent a few days on his vacation down south. he has a spot hes been researching i will call the great oak forest-! after six hours of some dead air we hit iron-! spent canister shot (hell fire iron) and a really nice gold locket (with some hair still inside) this really looked good coming out of the hole its marked M-D-M 59 ON THE RIM) ITS HARD TO SEE). ANYWAY its gold-! happy hunting all.

Very cool. The hair is from a deceased loved one? Probably, huh. Sad and interesting simultaneously.

I like your photo. It's nicely composed and in focus, besides being a close-up. A good photo makes it easier for the rest of us to enjoy the treasure as well. So good work with the treasure AND the photography.

We wanna see more stuff, and soon. Tootles.

Nice locket! I like the other relics too, especially the canister shot. Looks like you also got a fuze there, as well as part of a percussion-lock hammer.
