Dawg I have been recovering from a hernia operation very unpleasant indeed, I put it right up there with paying taxes, painful. Was out with Jersey Jim about about a month ago for the first time after the op and received the golden tick award and won a bullseye, yep, I got the Lyme. I had dropped my pinpointer in the dark on the way back to the trucks and realized it was missing the next morning. I traveled back that morning to recover it in the woods found it and never checked myself for the little buggers. Hopefully I will be posting some great finds soon. The nipple disc is a glazed clay top to a sugar bowl or similar. Arty

I like that clay pot top, that'd be your second best find of that lot in my opinion (behind the LC of course).

Thanks all, and glad to be back. Yes antlerman, two rather large rivets the first I've seen at this site and about the 20th small one. I dont know what they were used for, can only guess. Jim you called it, a scanner was used to capture my finds. Art

Good to see you back!
Nice LC
Those big square brass spikes & long rivets are ship/boat building items,
(well, I know I've found lots of them in my old boatyards)
From a field eh :icon_scratch:
I do know back in the day they would reuse ship wood (or anything useful)
for other purposes, maybe an outbuilding made from ships plank.
Glad you took care of the Lymes quickly
