Belt Buckle - Pirate? Missionary?? Any idea's please????

Hi folks here is a belt buckle found recently, it is marked as follows:
Lat de 11.9 N
Long de 60.42 W
Anno domini 1759
it is a brass contruction belt buckle it is 5 - 6 inches tall.
Any idea's or thoughts??
The Long/Lat seem to refer to a point just off the tobago coast.
All the best
Andy

Never mind. I found others on eBay. Not sure of the significance of the location or the date, but the buckle isn't old. I feel sorry for whoever bought it back in 2006.

I just read all the hype & was about to break the bad news myself. No way is it much older than me, cheap tourist piece.

well just as well found out that it was a made for a NYC store modern item --in the 1970's it seems.

I'm kind of surprised someone on this site didn't tumble onto this back in 2006. There is a wealth of knowledge and amazing sleuthing ability among the ranks here.

Oh,well. I guess some things slip through. I AM curious as to the latitude/longitude/date. Maybe it means nothing but I'll probably spend a few minutes Googling it.
