Me and Lil' Man just got finished changing a tire on my truck,1/4" bolt through the tread >:( Had about 45 min. to swing but it only took 1 min.(first signal off the backyard sidewalk) and this beauty pop's out from 7" down. This is my first Half Cent ever,I threw it up on the sidewalk thinking it was a modern day quarter :tongue3: Also retrieved a 1903 IH in pretty good shape......just never know what's going to pop up.Thank's for looking

No question about the date...lol. Usually these puppys come up rather worn but yours has decent detail. Congrats.

Sweet find! My first was also an 1809. Keep working that spot. It took me a year to find another old coin at the site I found the half cent at, but since that time I have dug about 2 dozen coppers, a half dime and a few Spanish reale coins!

Great old Copper! often the 'Half Cent' is the first to wear...
Great reverse, there may be details covered on obverse :dontknow:
I got my first two days ago, close to surface find, tossed in junk pocket as a clad quarter, (same diameter), was an 1804.
My ratio is one HC to 20+ LCs
Congrats
