hi John its 3cm long doesn't seem to have any thing broken off it tho =)

Never seen a Fibula with a split end like that :icon_scratch: Defect maybe, otherwise I'm unsure how the pin would have operated

The strange middle bit at the tip of it is bent over like you would hook the pin under it to keep it in place :dontknow:

Looked again & justed realised. Its missing the 3rd piece of the triangle from the two points. Basically, this piece missing is the catchplate, which explains how the pin would then work OK.
