I've been hunting salt water beaches for awhile, lots of cool stuff but no gold! My closest beach has produced seriously cool old artifacts, but it's remote, doesn't get much tourist traffic.

Since I don't find gold anyways, I slapped on the 5 inch coil and went into the heaviest concentrations of iron trash...and there it is...cute little 10k ring with brilliantly pink stone. The metal itself is battered and got ocean crap growing on it, but the stone is undamaged, not even a scratch...perhaps topaz or morganite, it's a good one at any rate.

Check the vid in case it's getting cold up north already ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

AWESOME Jim! That's a great looking ring. :icon_thumright:

I've only found 1 ring on the beach so far as well. For some reason the beach gold hides from me.

Nice find! The stone is a pink topaz, and looks to be a "Mystic pink topaz" which is heat treated to give it a irridescent color. The picture looks like it has the treatment. Take it to a jewelry store, and let them buff ut up for you!

Very cool ring! Seeing that yellow gold coming out of the sand is beautiful, when I dig a gold ring, I just let it sit there and admire it for awhile before I pick it up. HH
