decided to knock on a door of a old colonial.was talkin to the owner about what I wanted to do and she said someone detected it years ago but, your more than welcome to try it.after some small talk come to find out they know my step mom! :headbang: I thanked her and off I went.
there were tons of targets in the yard.copper clippings from the roof near the house.man do those sound good a 1/4 of a large copper clipped.you can see lines etched where it was gonna be cut prior.(the CT copper underneath is for size reference)some flat buttons,a zoauve or ball button, broken tombac button, one designed 2 piece with a "festus hayden waterbury ct"backmark a early 1800's naval cuff button,a broken shoe buckle piece and a intact frame.a WWI era? lead toy soldier,a Tom Mix ralston straight shooters thingy from the 1930's, a keg or barrel tap and a medium sized intact crotal bell.a couple wheaties,a 1893 V-Nickel
was a great day and plan to return when the 10 inches of snow >:( we are supposed to get saturday melts

Sweet dig man, if you pulled that much after it's already been detected I'd bet there's more to find! Might be worth doing a pattern, wouldn't be surprised if a half Reale came outta there.

You need a wheelbarrow. I suspect the solider is WWI German. I love it when there is still paint. Could that be "Prussian Blue" on his trousers? The Spainsh/American and WWI US are sometimes a little deceptive. It is hard to tell if it is a SA "smokey bear" hat or a doughboy's helmet. Look closely at the uniform and see if anything looks familiar from photos of the period. If you like lead soliders, that is. I love finding them.

This would be my fav of the day, they rarely come whole from ploughed land. The buckle is on an equal as well :headbang:

Nice finds as usual! The early Navy button appears to be Albert's NA 81 Bv. All are nice finds for sure!

Maybe Crusader could guess if it is British Cavalry or not. There is the little emblem on the hat, but probably has no detail. Besides I think UK, French and German all used variation of the "target" circle thing. May not know for sure unless someone knows for sure that the Germans didn't have short swords, or something like that.
