Hit some beaches here on the outer banks yesterday with my girlfriend in tow as a good luck charm. As of yet it has been slim pickins down here BUT the weather and winds are changing. Cuts are forming more easily and the tides are getting lower, exposing hidden treasures! Still hoping to find a cob before I head back to NY for a couple weeks so we will see. Yesterdays finds included a nice little sterling ring that needs to be cleaned up badly. A small 14k gold band. And an 18k large earring backing. A really unique religious necklace with a small angel pendent. Also found a similar pendant on the same beach that might have come from the same necklace. Typical child/costume jewelry and clad as well. Stopped by a local pizza place/bar to share a beer with her in celebration of our finds Also included in this post is a few pictures my girlfriend took with a special filter she absolutely loves. Let us know what you think of the filter, it gives an interesting old or antique feel to photos and I think it matches the metal detecting feel we all love. Enjoy the pictures, and good luck and happy hunting!!!
