I have a buddy who lives in a 1926 house, he let me detect in his yard. Got a great signal, checked it against the sprinkler lines, no where near them. It's reading 1/2 - dollar/dollar, so I am excited. I carefully dig it up, and viola'! It's a sprinkler head! Attached to another sprinkler system!
He has only lived in the house 10 years, and had no idea that there was a first system under his system.
Bottom line, I found an aluminium bracket, and a clad dime.
*sigh*
But, I only worked it for 1/2 hour or so, so I figure not bad.
