Good Morning,

I tried a new field this morning and was there at 6am. It was still dark, but there was enough light to see the display. Within minutes I was getting a signal 92, 93 on the t2 and found my first large cent. After that I found that triangular token and a short while later the king george. In total I found 5 coppers 2 buttons a token and the shield. I was done in three hours and only hunted an area maybe 100' x 200'.
I hope you all have as great a morning as I did.

HH
Don

One of the large cents has a little bend in it. Can anybody suggest a way to straighten it out? Maybe a vise?

WOW!! what a great morning. I dont know if I would bother to streighten your bent copper out, maybe between 2 pieces of wood in a vice would do the trick, but honestly? id leave it the way it is. good score on the finds :headbang:

awesome finds.... I like that triangle shaped token. if it were me, I'd leave the bend in the large cent.... it would help me remember the hunt

Wow, nice day of hunting! Congrats on your first LC! :hello2: They always say the first one is the hardest and the rest come easier and you've proven that. :laughing7: Good luck on future hunts there. Keep gridding! :icon_thumleft:

What were the dates of your LC's?

HH
p.s. Love the triangle token too. :icon_thumleft:

Wow! And yeah, theree ought to be a small silver or two around if there's that many coppers!

Congrats!

I'd still be there.

No guarantee of silver, but no doubt some keepers of some kind are still there.

Wow, you had an awesome day. When I have a bent coin I put it between two pieces of hard wood and smack it with a hammer till it's not bent anymore. The wood won't scratch it.

Yep, great hunt. On straightening out the bent coin.....the wood and a hammer, or several layers of old sock and a hammer.
Not hard hits, but enough until it is straightened out.

A dealer I used to know would straighten bent coins by placing between two 2X4s and hitting with a sledge hammer. The wood is not hard enough to damage the coin's surface in most cases. I have not tried it, but I bet it would work.

The coins are nice, but that triangular token may be the find of the day. Can you read what it says? (It almost looks like it ends in ".com" ;D )
