Found some more treasure today, the revolvers were a ball of rust,They are not cap guns, but,I question their being real.Any gun people out there?A cool old corker I call them, from behind an old woolen mill built in 1829,I'd say someone from the mill was nipping and tossed it of the side,it was laying on top of the ground. The Traveling Teller Automatic Recording Safe Co.lid? And a 39 merc that put a smile on my face! God Bless HH Chris

The one on the right looks a little later, than the left one :dontknow: could it be a .38, not that I know anything about guns :P

Nice guns! Definitely real. I'd give them a good cleaning you may find the makers names on them. Possibly on the top strap,or the back of the grip if you don't see it on the sides.

Worldtalker, are there railroad tracks near by they look like smith & Wesson frames the one on the left looks to be a K frame?
walking the tracks in spfld. you will find lots of parts that were scraped and fell off the trains bound for recycling. HH :icon_thumright:

the traveling teller piece is the bottom of a coin bank that was given away by a bank as a promotional item. probably dates back to the 1920's. the hole is to insert rolled up bills. I used to collect antique coin banks and have one that has a slot marked for 5 dollar gold pieces. (too bad it's empty).... anyways, here is a link to one that's on ebay...

Nice Finds Chris!
Handguns are a yet for me!
Is that 'traveling safe' piece aluminum or plated brass?
I have recovered a few of the oval 'Counting banks', one had a wheat cent in it :laughing7:
Two were pried open, one from a bank still operating.
appear to all be the same design, only way to retrieve money without breaking them was to bring them to the bank, & hopefully deposit the funds....
here's pix of all 3..
Nice bottle & bit o Silver! Congrats & HH to ya
