Hit a local tot lot that I hadn't been to in a while. I was finding dime after dime, along with a few cents, nickels and one quarter. Clad haul ended up being 5 pennies, 2 nickels, 8 dimes and one quarter. I was quite surprised when this popped out of the mulch:

It has a marking, but I can't tell what it says. Using Google, I have found similar rings in 18K plated over sterling and solid 10K. I'll have to have it tested to know, I guess!

Nice find! :icon_thumleft:
Try taking a picture of the mark through a loop or mag glass with your camera set at its highest resolution. Sometimes that's the easiest way to read it.

Hmmmmm? I was thinking grandmother's ring with birth stones of the grand kids. Do you suppose that's because I'm old and think grandkids???

Thanks, all! When I found it, I thought about the poor woman who must be disappointed for losing it, too. Not sure when I'll be able to have it tested, as my buddy who has the test kits hasn't responded to my message. Probably busy with the Holidays. HH!
