I've had metal detectors for a lot of years, and I've found silver chain, stainless steel chain, but no gold chain --- yet. I'm not done looking. Good on you, you've been out using yours, and that makes a big difference. My back is messed up right now, but it's getting better and I'll be posting finds.

I found it in our private neighborhood park (HOA). It was next to the volleyball court in the grass and was only about 4 inches down. On another note I did find 1 more 10kt chain yesterday! next to the soccer goal
