Interesting find

[treasured pasts]

Found this scarab about 6 inches deep in an old park. One side is a carefully carved scarab probably from dyed howlite. It is set in silver and the posts at either end indicates it would have rotated in the setting. the back side has heiroglyphics on it.

Agreed, an Ancient (tomb robbed find), reworked into a modern silver mount.
