Hi all. Feeling like an oversized cattle truck after the christmas day feast? :laughing9: :laughing9:
Since Medieval times the christmas pudding has been an English tradition, Another tradition was to put the small silver threepences in the pudding as another christmas surprise .I first remember my great grand mother doing this when i was young . The smallest of silver coins used and the threepence has been around for a long time . I quite often find plenty of them and post them but they are quite small and go unnoticed. yes a common find but still silver. Theres a couple of rare ones but i have not one rare coin any type.Any way heres few of silver threepences found in recent times including the one i found this morning.
