Re: Qrter Stater Field - Day 5...16th C Gold Ring!!!
OK, while I thought the last posting would have been possibly deemed treasure, this one is probably closer to that. Would you consider having it restored to wearable condition or will you leave it as is, assuming you get the opportunity to keep it? I appreciate either side of the consideration but I do think it would be a cool ring if it were in restored (corrected, not tampered with). Either way, you have made some incredible finds in that area. I just hope we are there to see more of the same....soon for those of us who rarely get out now! I didn't see this until after it bannered but I would have hit that voting button like it was a pinata if I had seen it before the banner.

On the way back to the car, Dad & I discussed giving the Ring to the Land Owner, so as it off-set the cost against the Cetic Gold Coin. As it happens we met him on the way back & showed him the ring & told him about the Coin. We said it maybe potential Treasure & I might have to hand it in (this is the first from his land). He didn't seem to interested in the ring, but liked the idea of money towards a new gun. So, if we get it back, I will have to see what the valuation is, to make a choice as to how to proceed.

Well, I hope you have the bank to pay the landowner, if the B.M. doesn't pay out. Then you can keep what should be an excellent addition to anyone's museum grade collection.
