First Ever, January Hunt.

Jan 8, where is the snow ?

I looked at the thermometer, it was pointing directly at "get out of the house...Fool." (about 7 C. or 46 F)

Anyway since I have never hunted not once in Jan I though I should just so I could say I done so.

I went to the 3 cent Silver field, and did some passes at 45 degrees to what I've done before. I got a couple pieces of lead, and a modern small cent, proving at least there still could be something there. Never had quite the day CRUSADER had, but did get this, and if you saw the video clip I took you'd know I am happy to find this. Second only open mouth, Sleigh bell I'll call this one, with clapper still there, although it did fall out.

Last pic., ice on pond.

Nice bell! Great to be getting out this time of year. I was out this afternoon too and scored a few more oldies!

I think we'll have a few more days of hunting this month!

I probably would have had to drive in your direction to find any ground diggable. Latest I've ever gotten out was Dec 24th. I like those bells! :icon_thumright:
