again its a cuff button with the birdcage or turret shank found in the same area as all the others. Along with it today came a nice brass sword scabbard tip and what I think is a large brass rosette of some type (it has a design on the front and 3 prongs on the back). Also found what I think is a brass bayonet tip and 4 musketballs. This site has given up a total of 7 French buttons now all found in 2012. 1 coat 64, 4 cuff 13's, and 1 cuff 17. I'm hoping this will be a regiment other than these. If anyone wants to guess it will be fun to see who's right! Will post a picture of the cleaned button and rest of artifacts sometime tomorrow. Was going to say that your pics are really fuzzy...lol I'm not on that side of the pond and wouldn't even know what to guess. Hope it's a good one, and prefferably one you don't have. :icon_thumleft:

I am going to guess it's a cuff French 13th regt. Now find some American Rev War buttons :laughing7:
