I was scouting out a building with a dirt floor that is on some property my dad owns and found this on top of the ground.? I did not even have my detector with me. ;D? It is in nice shape, but it does not spin like it should (you can see the letters and numbers on the side in one picture) .? Anyone know what I should soak it in to loosen it up?? Here is more info on it:? http://www.radioarchives.org/annie/

Beautiful find! put it in olive oil for a day or two and give it a try. Might take longer than a few days soaking but it should loosen it up and not damage it.

Very nice find JMH! We should have a "Hands & Knees" contents.... First silver wins.. But you have to find it on your hands and knees and WITHOUT a detector! LOL.

Using the olive oil trick above (thanks!) I have it 100 percent working now. A really neat toy, they really do not make them like this any more. There looks like a place where a pin broke off the back of it. I bet a kid had it pinned to his/her clothes and lost it in 1940. Poor kid, was probably pretty upset. Thanks for all the positive comments. Next I may find that jar of coins in that building :D
