Took the long hike out to my old cellar from last year..Man its a hike...

The weather was like summer and being that far out in the woods was like medication from the everyday Hustle of this insane world :tongue3:

Got my first 3 cent piece :hello2:

Got some cool suspender buckle..Colonial :dontknow:

The cutest lil button i ever seen ::)

Nice decorative button..

A 1781 Irish halfpenny crowned harp Hibernia

Some beautiful pottery pieces..

A crushed blowhole button...You know your on a early site when you find a blowhole button ;D

I always tell my dog not to flinch when im taking his picture but kids today dont listen :)

Good luck out there :icon_sunny:

A blowhole button is actually a 2 piece button that was soldered together..It will have 2 small holes in the back to allow the gas to escape :icon_thumleft:

These actually pre-date the colonial flat buttons...Right around the early 1700's..

Awesome finds! I know what you mean about getting out alone in the woods. Its necessary for sanity. I love that site. Looking at the photos you can almost see the buildings and hear the people.

Great finds! That pesky 3c piece is still on my list after 20 years of diggin.

I don't see a blowhole button there in your finds. I do see a two-piece ball button there though. Blowholes were one-piece I thought, with two holes in the back. Ball buttons are two piece.

Cheers,

Buckles
