I dug a few items of interest yesterday. '17 and '36 wheaties. Mints were not readable. A silver heart pendant. The gratuitous bullets. (Hey, it's Texas!) A common token and a button. The button is the find of the day. It says 'Kenyon New York' on the back. The back has been crushed. I have been trying to read up on buttons on this site. Guess it is a 2 piece? Much to learn!!!! Have a great day everyone!

The backmark is that of Clarence Kenyon & Co., 70 Bowery, New York City, c. 1875-1881. Kenyon was actually a clothing dealer, not a button manufacturer. Buttons were supplied to Kenyon at various times by the Scovill Mfg. Co. and by Steele & Johnson, both of Waterbury, CT.
