Re: Been a While, Got some coins! Pine Tree
Way to go Herbie!! That pine tree is going right up on the Banner! My vote is in
Would be nice to have the cleaned version up there, but it is a Pine Tree Shilling, and that is banner, encrustations and all

Other than the one copper, It looks like you were digging in an acid pit.

Re: Been a While, Got some coins! Pine Tree
OMG. !!! C'mon Y'all - this is so ridiculously BANNER , out of almost 30 respondents , a few
banner votes (WTF ) please ! this find in terms of rarity, is way beyond GW buttons !
I would say equal to the half "disme " in rarity - When it comes to early , rare , Americana -
this is a "Holy Grail " find in the realm of numismatica ! If I'm overstating the case please
correct me , Argentium.

Re: Been a While, Got some coins! Pine Tree
Argentium, I have to agree wholeheartedly! This is one of the few "Holy Grails" of coin collectors! I have only heard of one other Pine Tree coin found on this site, and I think it was a half schilling...someone please get this post up on the Banner!

 My Find of a Lifetime!
Re: Been a While, Got some coins! Pine Tree
Congratulations Herb! That is awesome!
I remember telling you when we spoke on the phone I thought you were in a great area for finding one of those!
What was the weight of it? It looks like the shillings are over 60 grams! That is a hefty coin and must have sounded sweet!
