Went to the base and thought that I only had some wheats to show for the 6 hour hunt. After getting home, I found that the elephant was a sterling broach from Siam and the earring had a 925 on it. The broach has a layer of copper or nickel on the back of the sterling. Thanks for looking! I have found these links that tell you more about the 1930s vintage broach: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=...tP5dSr-FhvxqVHOZQ&sig2=d6yzd9c-3v8UBqHqeKBXEQ

Nice Siam, has to be made before 1949. Actually could be made before 1939, I think there was a gap of time at the end of WWII to 1949, where it was called Siam once again. I think, but haven't had my coffee yet. Great digs!
