Bonjour a tous

Ça faisait un petit bail que je vous avais pas poster une belle sortie ( )
Je vous gate avec pas mal de clichés du bois et des monnaies in-situ !

Un superbe petit bois bien moussu en bordure de ruisseau qui respire bon l'ancien !

Concernant les trouvailles, les monnaies sont hélas pas terribles mais a la clé tout de même une jolie petite fibule d'un style complètement inédit pour moi !

A rough translation:

It's been a little while since I had not posted! I greet you with lots of pictures of wood and currencies !

A beautiful little mossy woods well along stream that breathes the old good!

On the findings, the currencies are unfortunately not terrible nice but the key still a pretty little fibula of a completely new style for me!

Yes crusader possible link with the Greek legend of Europe but no certainty as this model is until yesterday type totally unknown in Europe.
This is a woman sitting on a "bull marine" holding his right hand a second marine animal (sea serpent)
I was identified as complex zoomorphic fibula, les experts planchent encore dessus.

Very nice finds! To me the fibula looks like a chimaera and could very well be an ophiotaurus (combination of a bull and a snake/sea monster) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ophiotaurus

According to this link: http://www.theoi.com/Ther/TaurosOphis.html "The Ophiotauros was probably placed in the heavens as the combined Constellations Taurus and Cetus (bull fore-parts with a sea-monster tail) and that fits nicely with the fibula you have found
