Decided to hunt a couple older sights where there is no modern trash. An old fairgrounds/ horse race track dating to the 1860's and an old site from a one room country schoolhouse where the building was moved away probly in the 60's. Targets are few and far between especially at the first sight which has been hunted hard and is currently a farm field. Learned today that hunting within 100 feet of an electric fence sets off my explorer no matter where i have the sensitivity set and how many noise cancels i do. Made for a tough hunt but i managed my first 2 IH cents and a few wheats. At the first sight i got my first V nickel, an 1888 and its in pretty rough shape. Cant even see anything on the back. Afraid if i try to scrub on it it may make it worse.

Totals for today
1888 V nickel
1890 and unknown date IH"s
1913d,1928,1938 and 1941d wheat cents

HH, thanks for looking, Sam

Good Hunt, you earned the coins you found today.
I have hunted with an Explorer XS for many years, I did not know the electric fence would be such an issue.
Thanks for the heads up.
Kevin
