Cellar hole hunt gives up a Rare find!!!

Got out for a quick 15 minute cellar hole hunt...

Just a pull off the side of the road cellar..Got a tip but had an appointment but ill be back..

Glad i scouted it as this site will require the small coil

There were bottles right on the ground and it was very trashy..

Stayed for about 15 minutes and pulled this little drum..

Not thinking anything i was not even going to post it..

Then it hit me it may be Civil war related..Cellar was probably abandoned around 1880..

Put it in the what is it forum and Breezie was on top of it right away
Its a rare Drummer's insignia or badge..

Wow! I clicked on your link and started reading and couldn't stop until I got to the scuba part, then I woke up. Thanks for the read. History and discovery combined with good story telling and a few pictures at the right spots, it doesn't get much better than that.

Cool find man! That's gotta be rare to find in New England, never seen one before. I'm wondering if that cellar was once the home of a Civil War veteran.

Yeah that is a nice one man. I'd go back and scour it out. Not as old as you normally get though. I take any era I can find.

If Breezie, Rob (Creskol), Cody (Kuger), or C.C. Hunter can't figure out what something is J.B., it's from outer space. That an excellent piece of CW history. Congrats and I feel this is rare enough, and now documented as authentic, to be on BANNER!! I am formally nominating it as such. I certainly had never seen anything CW drummer related dug except the buckle that held the wooden sticks. HH, Quindy.

never seen one its got to be rare..
