Lone Star Belt Plate and silver

I braved the cold wind today and went to one of the local lakes where the water level is waaaaayy down and the swimming area beach is eroding pretty bad. Found this rare Lone Star belt plate . I'm not sure, but I think it's post-war . Also found 3 junk rings, 4 quarters, 3 dimes, 6 nickles, and 11 pennies for a total of $1.71 in crusty clad. Found a 1937-P Merc and a possible gold necklace chain by the picnic pavilion.

Neat find - there's one on e-bay without the top wording on it and it doesn't look near as old as yours. It is something that a lake is so low and summer is still three months away.

this buckle has a copyright date of 1980 and a serial number on the back of it like it was some kind of fancy collectable. I know some folks did collect buckles some back around that time, but either way this thing is junk. All our lakes are way down because of several years of drought, but last year was a killer... the lakes around here dropped several more feet. Bad for the lake, but good for detecting because areas that were 6 feet or more deep are now exposed.
