I also hope my unborn son will take it up.

Although I tried taking my younger brother out & he fell asleep on the stumble in the middle of the field, which is pretty good going!

That is a krazy looking quarter, I wish I could find some silver. I had to go to my more modern church sight today just so I could here Clad agien, The older one is having a fuction this weekend, but maybe next weekend. Cool finds

Could be several Reasons.
Most likely Slot Machine Quarter, Counterstamped
so the Owner Knew what quarters were Paid out
and What Quarters were Taken in. to keep track.

these days around here, When a Person puts Machines in the Bars,
they Paint the coins a certain Color. this way they know their Quarters
from the Customers.

Another thing done, is when a Bar has a Jukebox.
owned by someone else. The bar will sometimes mark their coins
so when the people come in to empty the machine, they know
what was put in by the bar.

Bars will sometimes feed the machine in order to get the Customers
in the mood to feed it.

Looks like you had a GREAT DAY METAL DETECTING.
Any day you find silver and bottles is a great day and
to have your son hunting with you, wellllllllll that's really sepcial.
