Ran across these goodies at a new property we have permission at. This was all in a 5x5 foot area. F75 picked the enfield bullet 10 inches down amongst all the iron signals. Last piece found was the New Jersey copper...unfortunately it's pretty crusty. Not sure which variation it is. I was happy with these finds considering they were all dug in a half hour. Thanks for looking.

Nice fnds! I Think the Enfield bullet was used more by the Confederate. Hope you found where a camp was, Since that church next door was a hospital during the war. If we get done today early im going to try and get by there and get a few bullets my self. Thats a shame the copper is so toasted. I was really hoping that it would have cleaned up better. Thats still number 3 for that site, there has to be more!

Congrats on the third copper you guys have found on that property, perhaps there will be a few more. Don't feel so bad about the copper's condtion, not your fault the ground conditions were not as kind to it as it could have been, at least it is identifiable. Sent you a PM asking for info for my NJ survey. Thanks.

Thanks, Don. I have a feeling there are more coppers to be found...hopefully a little silver too. Actually the coin isn't as bad as the picture is showing. Just not showing up right. I got a date off of it at least. I see an --87 so I'm assuming 1787. I'm happy with finding a coin over 200 years old any day.

And here I thought I found the most corroded NJ copper in history:happysmiley: I had mine in 3 hot peroxide baths. That cleaned it up some. At least enough to make a variety of it. Nice finds. Never mind finding colonial copper. Cheers!
