Two More Coppers, Half A Cuff-Link and More Buttons!

I hit one of my local spots today. It's funny that I have been hitting it for years finding mostly Indian Head Cents and civilian buttons but the last few weeks I have been hitting a lot of military (1812) era buttons and coppers!

Today I found another 6 buttons and the two coppers, which were side by side. These coppers make number 10 and number 11 for the year. The first one in the video may actually be a button. I may never know.

The button in question is an odd one. I never found an oval button before. Anyone know about these types of buttons?

Thanks for correcting me on the find Jewelry guy! I should have realized it was a cuff-link.

The plain copper-alloy one the finder has is the norm over here for a circa 1800 cufflink piece, your tombac one is a little more unusual.

Your on a roll with the coppers. I see you made it out of Trenton without getting mugged.

Awesome, Neil! Lucky too as I would have thought that spot would be badly overgrown by now. Watch those ticks...

It is filling in, but you can see in the video it is still not terrible. Oddly enough ticks haven't been a problem there yet!
