Hi All,
During the last couple days extra low tides
I've been out hunting an area that my friend theorizes a 17th C wreck took place.
The wreck was recorded, but exact location is not known
Several items found in the vicinity date to the era.
He had previously found a large Onion bottle, This one is small, a little over 5" high,
black glass with orange staining, dates around 1700.
Also a DR. / KILMER?S / SWAMP / ROOT / KIDNEY / LIVER & . BLADDER / REMEDY // DR. KILMER & CO. // BINGHAMTON, N.Y, Note Kidney embossed around text...
Small Disinfectant Bottle,
And a Deep Punt Green Wine Bottle.
These are my glass finds, I'll post my metal finds soon....( some good ones! )
Thanks for looking& HH Everyone!!
Don't know why my pix aren't in the order I attached them ???

Thanks Pete, Buckles & Crusader, Pete, that is a stunning bottle you found :o I think this is going to be a great site, esp during those Xlow tides, I searched there today for 30 minutes at mid tide, Smooth copper, pewter handle, pewter floral button. AND a 'Bartmann Jug' fragment, Early stuff here! "A Bartmann jug (from German Bartmann, "bearded man"), also called Bellarmine jug, is a type of decorated stoneware that was manufactured in Europe throughout the 16th and 17th centuries, The image of the bearded face is believed to have originated in the mythical wild man creature, popular in northern European folklore from the 14th century" HH & thanks to everyone for your comments!
These Bartmann Jugs are very rare even over here.... i had a fragment a few weeks ago too. http://www.treasurenet.com/forums/todays-finds/285758-someone-had-eye-me-new-pics.html I would be happy with a bigger one like You have! These onion bottle is great too! Every old glass unbroken is a great find! Congrats!

Thanks All!
WestFront, I always look forward to hearing about and seeing those old finds you make out there :hello:
StormSurge, I've been fortunate to have been blessed with some good finds,
I've been digging a little over two years now,

Gotta give credit where it's due, Mike at www.woodlanddetectors.com has been a big factor in learning how

to find the sites and the artifacts, he always has time to help.
I enjoyed reading this in your introduction, it is the same way I feel...
Good day and HH All!

I had that same exact kidney bottle awhile back. There is also a version of that kidney bottle where it says "Cure" instead of "Remedy". I know this cause I bought both as a pair at a flea market. If you can find the right person I would say the kidney bottle is worth $20-$30 in great condition.

Thanks Furismo and Whitebeard,
The 'Famous Dr Kilmers Cure' was an earlier bottle,

Changed in 1906 to 'remedy' because of the pure food and drug laws.

(which also outlawed OTC opiates, cocaine and cannabis)

HH All !!
