I started following the advice of the experts here and began digging every signal. I found a few more unusual things like a gear from a pocket watch - i think - and some other things. But yesterday on my lunch break while digging at the park, when I was just about ready to go back to work I found this - a 14 k gold ring - my BIGGEST find so far. Now I reallly have the fever !!!!!!!

Nice ring. I too have learned to dig all solid signals. The rings do hide in the pull tab range, so there is no way around it, but dig those tab signals. About every 200 or so tabs I usually find a ring. A fair trade off--maybe.

That's a nice heavy ring! Great find, I got a gold ring myself down at the beach this weekend, it's my first one, and I dug a lot of pulltabs and bottle caps first. Finding one of those every once in a while sure does feel nice!
