Here are my latest finds from various places, I was surprised to find another half dime, it was found at a school built in the 60s along with the Merc and Rosie, the 3 Indians Head pennies were found a different location, usually the Indian head pennies I find are toasted but the middle one (1864) looks good under the crud, maybe cleanable? I like the ashtray made from the ammo shell, it was found in a rocky area so I came out with some scratches. My favorite find would be the rosette, I tried a new patch of woods on a hill found mostly a bunch of the bullets and then the rosette, would anyone know the approximate age of the lead rosette. Thanks for looking & HH!

Coin Finds:
1853 seated half dime
1942 Mercury dime
1964 Roosevelt dime
1961-D Washington qtr
No date Buff nickel
1864, 189?, 1889 Indian Head pennies
1910, 1911, 1920 & newer Wheat back pennies

Some of the other Finds:
-Ashtray made from a large gun ammo, bottom
-Lead bridle rosette (age??)
-Lantern piece found by my son found when we went out trout fishing, he looked down at the stream and there it was..
-WINCHESTER No12 all brass shotgun shell, unfired.
-2 older buttons pictured with coins, tough shape, the larger one seem to have gold on it at one time.

Hey TommyNJ, that is a super haul, congrats. The headless lead soldier is a Barclay #720, Sailor Marching Short Stride, Blue Uniform circa 1935-1942. Too bad he's missing his head. Where there is one, there may be more!
Happy hunting, Sub

That ashtray looks to be either a WW1 or WW2 trench art. What are the markings on the base?
Great finds, all!

Awesome half dime. That'd be a real treat out here in Denver.
If you haven't tried the coppers in boiling hydrogen peroxide yet, you've got to try it. I can't believe how well it cleaned up 8 indians I recently found. Info found on this site. HH

Thank you JohnnyMac :icon_thumleft: !

Thank you sonofadigger :icon_thumleft: !

Thank you Subterranean and for the information on the lead soldier, you are right about finding one there could be more, I've actually dug several from this old park maybe 25% of them were in one piece :icon_thumleft: !

Thank you curbdiggercarl57 and for the comments on the ashtray, the bottom stamping is 3–IN–50–CAL-MK-3 –MOD–3 .N.S 1942–JRD LOT-154 :icon_thumleft:

Thank you dawg, even though the school was build on previous farm fields, I'm thinking a school kid must of dropped it, the merc and rosie weren't too far away. I don't find many seated and it did break my silver drought I had going so it was definitely a nice surprise. And I did see a similar ashtray while searching on the web that mention trench art, it took me a minute realize what it was after it came out of the ground :icon_thumleft: !

Thank you xr7ator :icon_thumleft: ! I tried the peroxide a few times with other IHs with no luck maybe I need to be a little more patient.

Thank you hamiddetecting :icon_thumleft: !

Thank you Hunter :icon_thumleft: !

Thank you VOL1266-X :icon_thumleft: !

Thank you jewelerguy :icon_thumleft: !

Thanks again everyone and good luck out there :headbang: ! TommNJ
