OK, the above makes it believable. Pictures of discoloured top silver coins & those that reacted & were sandwiched. The purse bit clinches it for me, great find

Dave, that is seriously a find of a lifetime. I don't care if you're a coinshooter, a relic hunter, jewlery hunter. That would make ANYBODY'S year. I also run an F75. I'm VERY curious as to the vdi readout on a cache like that at 8 inches. Was it an overload sound or was it just a jumpy signal? I'm hunting a property that dates back to the 1800's so hell there could be a cache like that there! lol Congrats man!
