That is just a ridiculous find Dave! Amazing story about the change purse, one can only imagine how it was lost but withered away in the soil but the metal clip, simply awesome.

Wow! just uncovered someones savings from an erra gone by, he might not have lived to spend it but shurely made someone happy to find it.
I know the feeling for I have also uncovered a coin cache thirty some years ago, it awakened my interest for treasure hunting.

trust banks in those times, so they would bury their savings in the ground usually in the garden in mason jars, in this case a nice purse full of goodies, and you were skilled enough to dig it up, Good for you... Love it... Bet that purse rim and lock gave you an iffy signal.
