CASPER
MAY 7TH - coldwater hunting
2nd day with Whydah
detecting in cold New england waters
we were going to try a different spot - but the iron was hot - so we struck same spot again
I got 3 old gold
1 silver ring
3 silver quarters
3 silver dimes

dont know what came off of it - but dont think I did it - face of first ring was discolored when found
2nd one has makers marks - no karat mark (it looks lke a horse shoe with a spike thru it) probably 10k
3rd has makers mark - no karat mark - looks like a higher grade of gold by the color

those are old beach tags - they have a # and would have had a key attatched - I found 2 keys also
for early lockers at the beach house they had there back in the late 1800's early 1900's - which was wiped out by a hurricane
you find those and you know your in an older spot and silver coins and older gold can be near by
