I've been hitting a street tearout for the last few days, and am starting to find the old stuff i know is in there. Got part of a harmonica reed, suspender buckle, a really old cuff button..........and the 1838 large cent

Very cool. Beats my oldest by 70 years. A 1908 Barber Dime and it was only about an inch and a half deep. Keep at that street tear out; there's bound to be more goodies.
