I was out 10-25-06 (wed ) detecting a house tear down lot when I looked up and saw a Metal Detector sitting on top of some garbage cans across the street. I walked over picked it up and put it in my truck...15 minutes later the Garbage truck pulled up and dumped the garbage..

It's a Bounty Hunter.. Showed it to my 7 year old daughter she thought it was cool . " we can go out M D now" she said.

It works by the way too.

Probably the spouse tossed it out while hubby was at work 'cause he's never home with her enough and too busy treasure hunting! :D

The right place and the right time! Congrats!

the fact it was on top of garbage cans means its former owner probably lost it "on purpose"... maybe he figured the resale value on it wasn't that good or something... so anyway congrats on the find! A couple friends have BH's and they find lots of coins with em.

A buddy of mine found a winged liberty head dime the other day with his 505, it was fairly deep too. He also found a ton of clad.

Congratulations. That's really cool, my daughter is 6 years old and I have another detector on the way. Looks like when she is big enough to wield it she will be using a BH too.

Great find.

Maybe the guy walked outside to go hunting, realized he left his digger or headphones in the house and set it down right where he thought of it, which happened to be the trash can outside, and ran back inside to get affore mentioned left item, fumbled around shortly trying to locate it or answer the phone...walks back outside and dang it, someone stole my detector..............
