May 15, 2012: First Gold of the year! Can anyone recognize the maker's mark?

My last gold was May 8, 2011, and it almost seemed like gold would never show
again.

A co-worker informed me that a local park was having some maintenance, and some dirt was moved around. Definitely had to check it out.

I had hit this same park last year and found a few silvers, so it would have been nice to find another silver. My co-worker's friend had said that she
saw a couple people detecting there recently though, DOH! But, no place is ever cleaned out.

Within 10 minutes those small little hearts show up. Maybe gold
plated at the top. One has Harry engraved in it, and the other one looks to be
Virginia. Ok, that's neat, there has to be gold here somewhere. A few minutes
later some gold plated cuff links show up. MAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN, gold
will never happen!

THEN, THEN... in one of the dirt patches, I get an
almost lead-like, Zincoln-like signal. Since this place was kind of clean, it
was worth a dig. Dig down about 6 inches, but instead of a zincoln... out comes
a ring!!!!!!!! It looked gold, and out of the ground it signaled like a zincoln,
which gold can do. I took a video right after:

Then I took 55 pictures when I got home, haha. Cleaned the dirt
out and saw the 10k mark!! Can anyone recognize the maker?

While there,
also got a nickel signal, it was a jefferson. Closed the plug and a few inches
over dug a Buffalo! Let's stick the ol' Pistol Probe in and see if there's
anything else.... got a signal...what the heck?? turns out to be a silver
Roosie! It was completely obstructed by the nickel signal.

Buff is 1937,
Roosie is 1956

I won't be able to weigh it for a while, but my guess is about 3 grams.

Hi I read your post Its really very informative post. I like your thumb ring. It is antique and expensive and very precious ring. I really appreciate your work with antique items. Collection of antique items is my hobby. Thank you for sharing this post.

I Talked To A Guy Who Said That The Italian Jeweler Arezzo Uses The "AR" Stamp But Could Be Another Company. I Couldnt Find Any Examples. As For The 350 If That Was Carat Percentage It Would Be Between 8-9 Carat So Not Sure On That Being As It Has The 10 K On It. 10K in Percentage Is 417 or 41.7% Gold. Not Sure What The CPC Stands For That Could Have Been Who Made It, Sold It, Or Bought It. To Find Out More Check With A Reputable Jewelry Dealer And See If You Can Find Out More. Looks Like From The First Pictures To The New Ones You Cleaned The Ring Up Considerably.

Thanks for the post!

I'll try to take it to a jeweler tomorrow to see what they say. I'm wondering if the 3.50 was the asking price at the time? It's a big 3 and then a smaller 50, almost like a dollar amount.

In the first set of pics, it was "natural" out of the ground with just some soap and water to get the dirt off. In the second set of pics, I had taken polish to it to spruce it up a little bit. It certainly made a big difference!
