Hi all! Grabbed up a couple of little gems (imho) today at a local flea market. Firstly, a heavy milk glass jar that once contained Elcaya cold cream. Apparently, it's from the 1920s. It has an aluminum screw type lid embossed with the words "Elcaya Beaute Fraicheur." The bottom is embossed with The Elcaya Company New York. Gorgeous little thing, I'm using it to put my rings in.
Secondly, I'm a lover of typography, so I nearly passed out when a friend of mine was cleaning out her late parents things, loaded up a box of old books, and shoved them my car. In there was a Caxton edition of "The Fire Brigade." A 1924 first edition of "On the Road to Make Believe." "The Castaway" a Hans Christian Anderson collection and more. Some are on Abe Books list of rare books and are appraised at more than $200 a piece!!
