I don't own a metal detector so I look down more than I look in front of me (hence the constantly rattling bottle of Excedrin in my bag).

Anyway, I was walking around outside our carport and looking around as usual when I saw what i assumed was a quarter. Picked it up and immediately discovered it was in fact a 1983 British pound. I live in Southeast Arkansas, so it's a long way from home!

Yes, I believe I do. I'm researching some now, so maybe I'll find the right one soon. My late uncle-in-law used to walk around everywhere with a pair of very, very strong magnets. He'd drag them behind as he hunted and hiked the grounds around here. Tomorrow, I'm taking them for a stroll! :)
