1941 silver nickel!!!???!

I found these 3 coins today in $20 of nickels (10 rolls). A 1955 D, 1941, and a (what looks like) 1941 silver nickel!

I think its an error. It even sounds like the real silver war nickels when i drop it!

Was there an error like this? Whats it worth? THANKS!

no 1941 is not silver.

Only the Nickels with the Large Mint Mark above Monticello are silver

I know thanks Jeff but during 1942 were any nickels struck on the 1941 planchet by mistake?

not by mistakke that i know.

there are 1942 P & S Silver

and 1942 plain (no mint mark) & D beside Montecello.

but as far as I can tell it was just because the Transition to silver
started later then the first minting of that year.
