Pewter George II, Pewter button, 1838 Halfdime

Got some oldies,
my 2nd cft pewter GII HP,
I've dug a lot of 17th c buttons, heres my first of this type,
I see drilled and applied shanks on UKFD no integrals.
solid cast acorn button with integral shank, (way off center)
thin halfdime, 2nd year of issue,
nice brass foliated button & shoe buckle frame,
44 washington was a bonus

Nice going Herbie! That's a great bunch of unique finds. When I saw your pewter George II it took me back to one I dug almost 15 years ago. It was the first old colonial coin I ever dug. At first I thought it was a modern repro, but it was found at a legit colonial site where I later found 2 Va halfpennies and other Rev War era artifacts. Mine registered slightly above the nickle range (24 with my old XLT), and it took a while before I realized it was a 1745 counterfeit shilling. Mine has the "LIMA" below the bust which according to the Krause book means the authentic version would have been struck from spanish silver seized at Lima, Peru. The pic I'm attaching is one I scanned back in the mid-90s when it was found. Anyway, didn't mean to draw attention away from your finds by any means, but this just brought back a few memories. MaineRelic, I searched UKFD and could not find a pewter there like this with integral shank, they were all drilled or applied.
though I very well may have missed them, there are a lot of buttons there

that is one sweet Shilling find
My HP rang in at around the nickel range, like most pewter, some does ring higher, they threw
whatever scraps were available into the pot for casting buttons and stuff,
the more lead, the better the item comes out and the higher the reading,
Here's an unusual cast button, and an 18 gram lead draped cent from the same site.
