Our first plan to stay out of the sun & dig test pits (2) in the woods failed. Although we dropped ourselve down on previously GPSed Roman Coins we failed to find anything more than 4 Roman Pot Shards. Close but no cigar! We did learn that although there are some coins shallow in the woods, its probably not near a building & was just farmland. (2.5 Hours of biting mosquitoes)
We then did 1 hour 45 mins on the area we started yesterday. Although I got 1 good Livery Button & a local Workhouse (UNION) button it was officially our worst day for recordable (GPS) finds this year.

I don't think bad days in detecting or fishing exist, just some days you catch big, others not at all. Its got to be better than TV at home:thumbsup:

Great bunch of digs ya got there  Metal detecting is a lot like fishing, I always have the anticipation of getting something good on the hunt along with the great outdoors.
