Was hunting a 100+year old home today and found this token. The front has a figure of Robin Hood on it and says. Robin Hood ammunition co. S Wanton VT. The kind that kills. On the back it says State of Pennsylvania 1915 Game Laws and lists the opening dates of different seasons. There is also Oct 15- Dec 15 stamped into the back of the token. Does anyone know anything about this or what the value could be?

Some history: The Robin Hood Powder Company incorporated in 1898 and changed its name to the Robin Hood Ammunition Company in 1906. Robin Hood was sold to Remington in 1915. Shotshells were produced under the Robin Hood name until 1919.
Robin Hood was their trademark as shown in this 1911 ad: Hunter-trader-trapper - Google Books

Here's a similar token from Michigan for sale for $470 !!. Looks like you caught a real winner ! Congrats! http://www.homerweb.com/vintage/Rob...-Michigan-Game-Laws-1914-15_180858223911.html
Note: There is no separation between the 'S' and 'W' in Swanton.
Don.......

I don't have a clue what it's worth, but I would imagine it would be worth some bucks to collectors of antique ammunition, firearms, advertising, and a broad range of other collectors. that is a very cool find.

My God, is that aluminum? You would never, ever find a aluminum in that shape out here in Denver.
Kudos!

Neat token. Unless it's a very rare token it won't be worth much on that condition. But who cares right. It's a cool find.
